” Named must your fear be before banish if you can.” – Yoda, from Star Wars
“Fear is a prison”
‘”If you want to conquer fear, don’t sit at home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” – Dale Carnegie
I am continuing on with my reading from the 4- Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss, and became intrigued with his chapter on ‘Dodging Bullets: Fear Setting and Escaping Paralysis’
Do you allow fear into your life?
More importantly do you allow it ruin your motivation towards your goals and dreams? If you do you are not alone, but remember you are the only one who can over come them.
Fear is frustrating and will ultimately result in you abandoning your goals and dreams because of the ugly word sitting in the back of your mind~ fear!
Fear generally comes in many forms and impacts everyone differently. Fear often holds people back and puts limits on their hopes and their dreams. Fear holds people in a prison like state that they have a hard time breaking into freedom
What are you putting off because of your fear?
Are you afraid to quite your job you hate because you think it will get better after you put in ‘x’ amount of time?
Are you afraid to make your own path in life because you are afraid of what other people may think?
Are you afraid to take a mini holiday because you are afraid you may lose your job?
Are you afraid of not making enough money?
Are you afraid of the uncertain?
Are you afraid to be ultimately happy?
Are you afraid to be yourself?
Usually it is what we are afraid of most that we need to be doing! Most people are afraid of the unknowns and therefore that is preventing them from moving forward with their life – ironic!
If you don’t get over your fears what will it cost you physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually?
‘What we fear doing most is usually what we most need to do’- Timothy Ferriss . Pick any successful person you know and either ask them or research them and find out how uncomfortable they had to become to be the successful person they are today, You will be amazed! – I for instance got uncomfortable and got over my fear of ‘what if’s’ – I stepped out and started working online and shortly after my thoughts turned into actions and I know and so convicted that working online needs to be done by everyone wanting to drastically change their life for the better. ‘ Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect’ – Mark Twain
Your fears are holding you back from the greatness you deserve!
What are you waiting for? What is the cost of your not getting over your fears? Will you be doing the same things the remainder of your life or will you be one of the 2% that makes a drastic life change?
The choice is yours but don’t allow yourself to get locked in the shackles of fear!
